Most of our filtered water ends up in the fridge, especially in summer. I spent a while comparing benchtop options because I didn't want something we'd stop using after a week. In day-to-day use, we can chill only what we need rather than squeezing a whole filter jug into the fridge. Small thing, but I love having the fridge space back.

Questions worth asking

How is this different from the 8L Glass Trinity?

Both have a borosilicate glass tank, a bamboo lid and stand, and the same filter media. Glass Trinity goes one step further: the cartridge casing is glass too. No plastic tank, no plastic shell.

Is it lab tested?

Yes. The filter media inside Glass Trinity is the same media used in Trinity, which was tested by AS Enviro, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. It cut fluoride by 99.5%, chlorine and lead by more than 99.9%, and chloramine by 99.0%.

How often do I change the cartridge?

About every 3 to 4 months, depending on how much you use and the quality of your water source. If the taste changes earlier than that, swap it sooner. Swapping takes a minute, no tools.

Can I use it in a rental?

Yes. Nothing is drilled, plumbed or wired in, so it sits on the bench and moves house with you.

Can I put hot water through it?

No. Glass Trinity is made for cold water only. Hot water damages the filter media, and that isn't covered by the guarantee.

Does it handle chloramine, not just chlorine?

Yes. Chloramine is what several Australian networks use instead of chlorine, and the filter media reduced it by 99.0% in independent lab testing.
